As the festive season approaches, the P&D team has once again been busy helping local villages shine bright for their annual Christmas light switch-ons. In late November, our crews were out across Newton, Blackwell, Pilsley, and Hilcote, installing seasonal lighting to bring some much-loved Christmas magic to each community.
Working closely with each parish, our role was simple but meaningful: installing Christmas lights on selected trees to create eye-catching focal points for residents and visitors attending the switch-on events. From carefully positioning lights in mature village trees to ensuring everything was safely connected and ready for the big moment, the team took pride in adding that festive sparkle that families look forward to every year.
These installations are a valued part of our community work, helping create warm, welcoming spaces where people can come together and celebrate. We’re proud to play a small part in lighting up the season—and we hope everyone enjoyed the moment the lights flickered to life.
