Project Scope: PAT testing and installation of festive decorations on lighting columns, trees, and buildings

Initial Challenges:
The client required an HEA registered contractor authorised to install festive lighting fed from street furniture. Additionally, the contractor needed the capability to maintain and repair the equipment before and during the festive period.

Assessment and Planning:
P&D conducted a comprehensive site survey with the client to discuss their specific requirements. We provided technical advice on electrical compliance for their equipment and delivered a detailed quotation with transparent pricing. Our team was readily available to address any queries and offer a complete start-to-finish service.

Implementation:

• Lighting Installation: P&D installed 10 lighting column motifs and 2 wall-mounted motifs, which we have since maintained and refurbished.
• Christmas Trees: We illuminated 3 Christmas trees using ELV fairy lights. Additionally, we installed a set of permanent fairy lights during our initial installation five years ago.
• Electrical Infrastructure: During our first visit, we installed feeder pillars to supply electrical power to the Christmas trees.

Rapid Response and Support:
To align with the specified switch-on date, a P&D operative attends to ensure all lights are operational at the designated time. If any decoration fails, we guarantee a 24-hour response time to fix or replace the item as necessary.
